Gradual clearing ahead..
A slow-moving low pressure system over the Maritimes will keep the region under an east to northeasterly flow tonight, bringing considerable cloud cover and cool temperatures. A gradual clearing trend will begin on Sunday as the low retreats and a ridge of high pressure builds in from the northwest. Sunshine will dominate on Monday and Tuesday as the ridge moves east and a southwesterly flow becomes established. Temperatures will generally turn warmer with the southwesterlies, though cooler conditions will persist in areas where winds blow onshore.
